This past Saturday morning we took a hike up the Gunflint Trail with our pals Bob n' Holly for a little Trail Center www.trailcenterlodge.com/lodge.html breakfast. When I went to pay my bill I was greeted at the counter by this cute face up top. I'm a sucker for a boxer face.

Later we ventured further on up to The Gunflint Pines Resort www.gunflintpines.com/index.shtml for the start of the Mush for a Cure sled dog race www.mushforacure.com. Sadly the weather did not cooperate, but funds were raised at a record pace despite Mother Natures plans.

While there we took a few pix of the scary (looking anyway) ice conditions on Gunflint Lake and a dejected looking man wearing pink. The ice was actually about 2 ft thick. See below.
